Most of our patients begin their visit with Melissa, one of our Medical Assistants, who joined our practice in June of 2009. As a healthcare consumer she saw room for improvement in patient care, so she decided to choose a career that allowed her to work closely with those in need. Before finding us, she has previously worked in a physical rehabilitation center, and also as a pharmacy technician. Breast care is a field she didn't anticipate working in, but she soon came to find out how rewarding it is to take part in such an essential component of women's care. 

She has quickly become a valuable member of our patient care team by providing compassion and a listening ear to those who are frightened or nervous. She especially enjoys spending time with our elderly patients, absorbing all their wisdom. Melissa's connection with our patients aids them in their healing process. Her interests include food, books, theatre, and working with children. She also enjoys spending time with her 8 year old brother.
