If you are over your ideal weight and have symptoms or a history of breast cancer related lymphedema, consider applying to the WISER Survivor project.  This study is a one year weight loss and exercise study for sedentary breast cancer survivors who are looking to lose weight.

The WISER Survivor study will examine the effect of exercise and/or weight loss has on lymphedema, breast cancer recurrence and quality of life. This is important because exercise and/or weight loss might reduce recurrence risk for breast cancer and lymphedema symptoms through these physiological changes. The study will involve 500 pre- and post-menopausal women. Each woman will be in the study for approximately 12 months. Check out their website for more details or to apply to the study!
